This 1×2 FBT (Fused Biconical Taper) splitter divides the optical signal unevenly: 50% of the power goes to one output and 50% to the other. Unequal splitters are used in chain (cascade) FTTH networks, where a small part of the signal feeds a local drop and the rest continues down the line.
